Win a Billy Fun Wheels remote control monster truck

November 30th, 2009 / 12 Comments

I don’t do a lot of product reviews unless it’s Billy FunWheels
something really good.

Here is one that is really good, and you have a chance to win one too!

Billy Fun Wheels would make a great Christmas gift for children 2 years old and up. Well, the truth is, both my 14-year-old daughter and I had fun with it too. Here’s why.

Billy Fun Wheels is the first motion-sensing remote control monster truck for children 2 years and up. The most impressive feature is that the intuitive remote control is shaped just like a steering wheel, and rotating it makes the truck turn left or right. Kids can feel like they are “driving”. Arrows on the steering remote light up to help the child understand which way the truck will head.

Maneuvering the truck is very simple with one button for forward, one button for backward. It really is suitable for a 2-year-old, but definitely fun for an older child to do tricks and race with it. Engine sounds and working headlights add to the realism ofย  “driving” the truck, and a fun honk warns everybody that Billy is here!

To test the safety of the toy, I rammed the car into my feet and drove it over my feet. No damage to me or the car! It has rubber threads that helps prevent damage to floors and feet. Billy Fun Wheels is like a mini monster truck that gently rolls over obstacles.Billy FunWheels with boy

  1. We go to midnight mass every year on x-mas eve then open one present each when we get home before we sleep.

  2. Any time spent in the kitchen is a tradition that means a lot. Many problems are solved and secrets shared over cookie dough, turkey soup, and mashed potatoes. Come to my house around Christmas and I’ll put you to work prepping or cleaning. It’s the best time of the year.

  3. Christmas is also my husband’s birthday. Finding a birthday Christmas card is always challenging. Starting Kindergarten, my kids started to make a personalized birthday Christmas card for Daddy every year.

  4. Our family puts up our advent calendar which has pockets filled with items displaying the nativity scene. My sons love adding to the picture everyday until Christmas when their favorite (baby Jesus) completes the scene. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. We go “light hunting”… enjoy finding beautiful displays of lights from the small neighborhood ones to the beautiful displays by the LA zoo!! We also LOVE attending the Evergreen SGV Christmas Eve Service! Merry CHRISTmas!

  6. My son would LOVE this!

Okay, meaningful tradition…well, we are just starting ours, but one is having seafood on Christmas eve – yummy! Random, I know. ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. My 3-year-old would be delighted with this. He’s been asking for an RC car!

We have a lot of Christmas traditions, but one of my favorites actually started when I was about 3. My mom found me wrapping a wad of toilet paper around the baby Jesus from our nativity set, and when she asked what I was doing, I informed her that I was swaddling Him because He was cold! Every year thereafter I swaddled Jesus, all through high school and even when I came home from college for Christmas. When our oldest was born I started the tradition with him, and now all 3 enjoy helping we wrap Jesus each Christmas. We probably have close to 20 nativity sets now because I collect them, but in at least one each year (and sometimes all of them) you will find a lovingly-toilet-papered Infant.

  8. So I have to say that while I really would like to win this for my daughter, the swaddling baby Jesus in toilet paper is my favorite tradition I see so far….just for cutest story and creativity I think Jenni should win ๐Ÿ™‚

But since it’s a random drawing, I’ll add our tradition. Just as someone else noted we’re just starting ours too (we have a 4 and 2 yr old) but we like to theme our tree relevant to something important in our lives. We’re planning a trip to Disney World for the kids birthdays next year so it’s Mickey everything on the tree!

Good luck to you all – Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!

  9. I’m not a tweeter but I’ve facebook-ed it ๐Ÿ˜€

….I know I said I thought Jenni should win but my little one would *really* love it!! Good luck everyone ๐Ÿ˜‰

  10. Headed to ReTweet now from my @RenoMom account. (Also following you from @InfertilityMom .)

  12. Something we do as a family thats a meaningful tradition is get together every new years even to enjoy each others company and play games…

My son would love this, he is a huge fan of monster trucks ๐Ÿ™‚
