I totally agree with your post about hospitality. My home is not picture perfect either, but I like it because it’s gives me a feeling of comfortable home and not a museum. And yes, children should learn hospitality. I like to teach them to share and be kind, which is part of it too.
I enjoy reading your blog – lots of good advice and thoughts!

I totally enjoyed the ” 5 things parents do that annoy their kids.” I have a suggestion for your website. Why not have an Opinions Page? For just kids or just parents or both combined. By seeing others opinions maybe you might get some more ideas and the readers a different kind of reading. It’d be interesting to see.

Hi, i’m going slowly mental. We have a 5yr old girl and a 3 yr old girl. They r great…when they are not together. I am turning into angry Mummy and cannot see a way out if it.

I can’t see how cuddling our kuds during an arguement will work and 99% of the time, neither my husband or me are present when it happens and only learn of anincident when the 5yr old lashes put and hurts the 3yr old. She even lured her to her ownbedroom only to slamthe door in the 3yr old’s fingers. I understand the reasoning if jot taking sides, but when one is clearly hurting the other, how do we prevent it? We takerhem practically everyday. We are an active healthy family. The kids eat very heathily and we try to use the naughty step/wrong choice spot, but not sure this makes any difference as 5mins later, it happens again. Nothing seems to teach them. Its so bad, its making me want to leave the family home :( (
