A 10-minute breather each day

October 28th, 2008 / 4 Comments

I was the featured guest post on Moms Talk Network yesterday on the topic of “10 Ways to Rejuvenate in 10 Minutes a Day.” I give some practical ideas that have worked for me, that would help a busy mom gain back some “perspective” in the midst of a busy day.

If you don’t have time or money to spend a day at the spa, these 10 ideas are the next best thing! Each idea is simple and can done at home with the kids around.

A previous post here also gives you 10 more ideas to squeeze in a bit of time to take care of yourself.

With a job as demanding as a parent, a 10-minute breather can maintain your sanity.

  1. How cool to be featured at Moms Talk – congratulations!

I loved your post over there – I think my favorite idea is the picnic in the backyard. My lil’ one would get such a kick out of it, and it’s so easy to do. Definitely going to put that one (and some of the others, too!) to use. 🙂

  2. Just ran a work-life balance seminar for a group of ladies which included thoughts like this. Also recommend a book by a doctor named Swenson, called Margin. Very good, very timely.

  3. MammaDawg: Thanks. Kids love picnics, and we can let the ants clean up for us afterwards!

Pete: Thanks, I’ll check out that book.

  4. Congrats on being a featured guest writer! That’s a huge deal. I loved your post over there BTW!
