Kids say the darnest things!

November 17th, 2009

Last Sunday when I was teaching the children in Sunday School class, I was trying to delicately explain Rahab’s “profession”.

“Rahab did a lot of wrong things in her life. She was not a righteous person.”  Before I had a chance to explain the word righteous, one of the children jumped in.

“What does righteous mean? She had diabetes or something?”

In the same Sunday School class, one of the high schoolers came to help. Just for fun as a warm up activity, I asked the children to guess his middle name.

“What letter does your middle name start with?”

“The letter B.”

“Is it Barbeque?”

“Uh, no.”

“Is it Barbaque?”

“Uh, someone already said that.”

“No, they didn’t. They guessed Barbeque. I said Barbaque.”

“Uh, no, that’s not my middle name either.”
